At Lakehayes Holiday Cottages, you can book both Pippin Cottage and The Cider Barn together — creating the perfect setup for extended families, groups of friends, grandparents, couples travelling together or special occasions. Located side-by-side within the grounds of our beautiful Grade II listed Tudor home in Tatworth near Chard, South Somerset, the cottages offer the best of both worlds: time together when you want it, privacy when you need it.

Perfectly positioned where Somerset, Devon and Dorset meet, Lakehayes is an ideal base for group holidays near the Jurassic Coast, countryside breaks and family gatherings.

Group booking questions

How many guests can stay across both cottages?

Pippin Cottage sleeps 2 guests and The Cider Barn sleeps 4, giving a combined maximum of 6 guests. Each cottage has its own facilities, so everyone has plenty of space.

Can we arrive separately and check in at different times?

Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am for both cottages. Kate and Matt are on site and will be happy to co-ordinate arrivals. Get in touch in advance if you have specific needs.

Is there parking for all guests?

Yes — each cottage has its own dedicated onsite parking, so multiple cars are not a problem.

Are pets allowed?

No. Lakehayes operates a strict no pets and dogs policy due to animals on site. This applies to both cottages.
