Pippin Cottage sits within the grounds of a Grade II listed Tudor farmhouse in Tatworth, right where Somerset, Devon, and Dorset meet. It's a one-bedroom barn conversion built for couples who want to slow down: an open-plan kitchen and living space, a double bedroom with a vaulted ceiling, a private patio for morning coffee or evening drinks, and an award-winning village pub a five-minute walk from the door. The Jurassic Coast is about half an hour away. The stream that runs through the grounds is closer than that.

The setting

The grounds at Lakehayes — one acre including a stream, paddock and the Grade II listed Tudor farmhouse

Pippin Cottage is part of Lakehayes, a one-acre property in Tatworth, near Chard. The cottage sits within the grounds of a beautiful Grade II listed Tudor farmhouse — one of the oldest and most characterful buildings in the area. The grounds include a paddock, a stream, and mature gardens that are shared between the two cottages and the main house.

Owners Kate and Matt live on site. They'll greet you on arrival and are always available if you need anything — while making sure you have all the space and privacy you've come for.

Getting out and about
